This is one sore episode, one enough to close the door of soul winning. Nothing new, we have heard baneful acts and still do. But we probably have not considered the ripple effect of certain satanic acts, we probably haven’t realised that aside the existence of the road to truculence, there is indeed the garden of Gethsemane. A teenager’s life ruined by a so-called man of God is one not appealing to mother wit. The ugly tale goes thus:

A little girl, a Kenyan, had her virginity examined by a sex-adept man of God using deliberately misleading means. Ochieng, her father, was one very spiritual and devout Christian who had heard of the healing hands of Pastor Otani. Pastor Otani was fond of going around Kisumu community in search of young teenagers that he may cure them from their infirmities of the soul. If only Ochieng had known that this man of God had eyed his little girl since March 2016; if only Ochieng could see the cruel intentions of the pastor, he would have avoided giving his daughter away for spiritual cleansing. It was no big surprise, her first night in a small room away from home was enough to make the libido of this pastor feel at home. She was engaged in rounds of coupling by the energetic man, she was perhaps of the mistaken assumption that the heavy petting was all part of the deliverance. This pastor kept making stealth intercourse with this girl until a whistle blew directly into the awareness of the parents. The pastor has ever since then been underground, the policemen have been on the lookout since August 2016. This is sad, this is belittling of the whole belief of Christ, and this is Nairobi – the acts of which are impari materia with the happenings in Nigeria.

One thing that I must dutifully say is, this is not a pastor. He is only an impostor and his mischief is not traceable to any branch of Christ. The act of this supposed man of God is a recurring act in Nigeria, it is one that has given unbelievers sufficient reasons to consider Christianity, a hell in itself. Who am I to blame an irrational sex slave who craves to attain a grave abnormally that inner peace be his portion? True, every man is entitled to his search for inner peace but then, with the progeny of law and order, rationality has been the order of the day. A slur to acumen it will be if I fail to stress that the book of God is the book of ethical precepts; the beastly act of the Kisumu pastor offends not only my cortex, law and order, nature, but even the bible. It is axiomatic to pen that one should not judge the pregnant mole in another’s eye without a due check on one’s eye but it is not in disorder to shake one’s head at the ripple effect that an act such as this implies. To be irrational is a choice, even to be stupid. To be a Christian is also a choice of which earthly irrationality will be deemed rightful in the sight of God in the event that it reflects a sheep following the doctrinal messages of the shepherd. Will Christ lust after a small girl and go as far as having his mens rea effectuated? Of course not. Christians are not patterned to act in a mode short of Christ’s lessons. How much more a pastor who is supposed to be a shepherd? It leads to the irrefutable digest that the so called Kisumu pastor, having lacked qualities such as self-controlled (Titus 1:8), a lover of good (Titus 1:8), holiness, an example to the flock (1 pet. 5:3), to mention a few, is a hireling whose conducts evinces a wolf in sheep clothing.

Why this act must be stopped is for public morals be seen to be done and intact. Statutory rape and other sexual offences are readily incriminating and one that encourages lawlessness. Where a man attaches a cloth to his nakedness does not make him above the handcuffs where it is found that he acts in variance with law and order. Glad is my state of mind that our laws have been couched in a manner that marries Christ’s doctrine; a man of God is not to be judged by man as we have our own iniquities, but the bible is not a book to welcome controversies as it graciously brings utter clarity saying that certain authorities be respected. The judge is not only a common man but one physically and spiritually armed with verdicts. Until such symbolic wig be usurped by our Almighty God, the citizens of a state are first to embrace the laws of the land and where it is repugnant, civil disobedience may be captured. But the last I checked, the acts of this Kisumu pastor is judicially noticed as a foe to spiritual tenets and positive laws hence the applause of its penal measures. This act also needs be curbed if the winning of souls into paradise be far from delusive and fanciful projects. It is normal to have magicians in the synagogue bearing all sort of religious titles but are clearly disciples of the Devil sent to make a foolery of Christian race. Indeed these evil acts are common among those claiming to be Christians but I stand to say that we should not be misled to thinking that the act of this pastor is a parochial or even absolute reflection of a disciple of Christ.

Christianity is true, it is not just true but truth. Maybe you are not incorrect to say that Christians are hard to find but then does the rarity of Gold decrease its special features and preciousness? No. let us flee from celestial lip servers or two-faced vessel; if one thing must be desired, it is the truth that Christianity is the road that leads to inner peace. Anything short of which revivifies the miserable life this earth is comfortable to give to all and sundry. In the meantime, I await the good news of the fate of the confidence operator. When will this madness stop? Why do we drag Christianity into the mud? God is indeed merciful.

My name is Okocha Obed, you can call me Obeezy. I love to display aesthetics through my ink—I must say writing is my small world. I consider myself a deep writer; I say I am deep because I have discovered that part about myself, even, my fabulous audience share same view. I believe in connecting to all kind of persons as there is always something to learn from everyone. I see myself as an actor; to stay on the stage, I need to think ink. The voice is a reflection of myself and my conscience. I always felt I could be like superman while growing up. It was pretty ridiculous so all I did was dream of being a soldier. It was abortive. So I created a world where I could keep talking about the ills in my community but with other flavours to show I am growing into completeness. keep reading.
